I Have A Question....
We know choosing the right Veterinary care for your animals is important, and you may have questions about how our housecall service works. To help you feel confident and prepared, we’ve put together answers to the questions we’re most commonly asked by pet owners across Greater Western Sydney.
Whether you’re curious about what we treat, how appointments work, or what to expect during a home visit, you’ll find everything you need right here.
We offer housecall and farm visit services for a huge variety of domestic pets and small ruminants, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, reptiles, rats and mice, sheep and goats. We are unable to offer an equine or cattle service at this time
We are based in Currans Hill NSW and travel from there through the Macarthur, Liverpool and South Western Sydney regions to see our patients. Feel free to contact us on 0448 291 206 to see if we can come to you.
We make a booking for you in advance (by phone, SMS or email) and we arrive at your home within 30 minutes of the arranged time. If we are running late (usually due to traffic or weather), we will contact you by phone or SMS as soon as we can.
When we arrive, we ask for a sheltered area with some space to examine your pet. Please have a collar or harness on your dog to help us keep it still and calm, and have your cat confined to a bathroom or laundry prior to our arrival (a cat carrier is typically not required). Any livestock will need to be confined to a small pen or race.
We will perform a full physical examination of your pet, while asking you specific questions about your concerns. We will then suggest diagnostic tests (if needed) and any necessary treatments as required. We endeavour to provide the most affordable options for our clients, so we can all work together for the health and wellbeing of your pets and livestock.
If your pet needs to be referred to a local clinic for a surgical procedure, we will work with you to find the most convenient location for you. We will then work with your preferred Vet Hospital to get the best care for your pet.
We are available for follow up phone calls and visits and are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about your pet's care.
We can help with anything that could be treated in a local GP Veterinary Clinic consultation room that doesn't involve an anaesthetic, diagnostic imaging or surgery.
The most common reasons we visit include:
Vaccinations, Heartworm Injections and preventative health care for adult pets, puppies and kittens and breeder litters (with discounts available for multiple pets and our breeder clients)
Sick and injured pets - upset tummies, acute and chronic lameness, wound care, sore eyes and ears, and more
Skin Problems - allergy management, rashes, wounds, parasite management, etc
Arthritis Management - taking care of your creaky senior pet in their own home is one of the kindest things we can do
Medical management for chronic conditions - examination, diagnostic testing and supply of appropriate medications for pets with ongoing problems
Small ruminant visits - lame, sick or injured livestock visits available
Behavioural Concerns - aggression and anxiety in dogs and cats is one of the main reasons we do what we do. We can take our time and help your pets feel calm and safe in their own space, while addressing any specific behavioural concerns you may have
End of life care and aftercare services - saying goodbye is never easy, but we can offer a caring and compassionate service to reduce the stress on your pet and your family in this difficult time
Payment for our services is required at the time of your consultation. We take cash, card or direct deposit payments. We are currently not accepting VetPay.
